Our office is committed to serving you. The District Office offers a variety of services, including, but not limited:
Assistance with State Agencies – Working with state agencies can be overwhelming. Please know that our District Office staff is here to assist you in navigating these bureaucracies. Our office has access to state agency liaisons that can assist in addressing problems you may be encountering with departments, such as the Department of Motor Vehicles; Employment Development Department (EDD); Medi-cal, CalTrans and the Department of Housing, for example.
Referrals – Our office may not always be able to assist you with your issue or problem, as they may pertain to federal or local issues. However, our staff can refer you to the appropriate government office or community agency that can assist you. If you are not sure if your issue is state or federal, please call us at (925) 942-6082 – we are happy to help you.
Senate Certificate Requests – Our office issues Senate Certificates of Recognition to organizations or individuals to commemorate their achievement. Our office also provides Senate Certificates and letters of recognition for those graduating to the level of Eagle Scout or Gold Award.
Bill Information – If you are trying to find out the status of a bill in the Legislature or would like to obtain a copy of a piece of legislation, the District Office can provide you with this information and show you how to track the bill’s progress.
Brochures – We provide informational brochures regarding various state programs, agencies and issues that you may find helpful. If we do not have a brochure on your topic of interest, we would be happy to help you locate the information you are looking for. You may find our current brochures here on this site. Internships and Volunteers – Our office offers year round internship and volunteer opportunities for college/graduate students, or anyone interested in volunteering. This is a wonderful opportunity for those who want to gain firsthand knowledge of how state government operates. .Interns and volunteers work on specific projects as well as help with general office functions. Projects may include: collecting, analyzing, and presenting data, assisting constituents, and attending community events/meetings in the district.
