CSU Under Pressure to Help Students Graduate in Four Years Instead of Six

Katy Murphy of the Bay Area News Group wrote this story on my bill, SB 1450, to improve four-year graduation rates at California State University. Only 19 percent of CSU students graduate in four years, 25 percent below the national average. My bill offers a tuition freeze, priority registration and advising to students who maintain 30 units per academic year and a minimum GPA.The story ran in the Contra Costa Times, San Jose Mercury News and Oakland Tribune.
