Season’s Greetings from Sacramento
As we come together to celebrate the holidays and 2025 draws to a close, I want to express my deep gratitude to you and everyone who make the East Bay the special place that it is.
There is no doubt that this past year presented many challenges, but I am constantly inspired by the compassion, commitment and vision of the people of this district. You came together when our neighbors were losing their food assistance benefits, to provide groceries, donate and volunteer at our food banks. While our immigrant neighbors and our democracy were under attack, you took to the streets and to the ballot box to make change. Your passion is what inspires me every day to fight for justice and fight for you in Sacramento.
As we come together with family and friends to celebrate the holiday season, let’s remember the many individuals and families who lack permanent housing or are struggling to feed themselves. Please spread joy this holiday season and consider volunteering or donating to the following food security organizations serving District 7 residents:
It’s been an honor to serve as your State Senator this past year representing Northern Alameda County and West Contra Costa County. During my first year in office, I successfully passed nine bills on a range of issues from immigration, housing and gun safety. My team and I have been working tirelessly to uplift California and the East Bay as we work to address affordability, public safety, access to healthcare, and more. If you missed out on our fall newsletter highlighting our legislative accomplishments for the year, you can read it here.
Looking into 2026, our office is here to serve you. You can always contact my office by phone or email if you have legislative ideas or need assistance, but please note that our response time may be slower at the end of the year until the legislature reconvenes on January 5.
From my family to yours, I wish you a joyful holiday season and a Happy New Year.
