Homeless Count: Listening to the stories behind the numbers

Today I joined Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) for the annual homeless census. Michael Fischer and his CORE Team introduced me to Virginia, a Deer Valley HS graduate who is homeless in Antioch. The experience and stories like Virginia’s help me to find solutions to our homeless crisis.

CCHS’s Division of Health, Housing and Homeless Services (H3), its community partners and volunteers will document both sheltered and unsheltered people in the area who need permanent housing.
