The Latest Surge in Cases, Revised Health Orders, Next Steps

SACRAMENTO – Senator Steve Glazer will lead a conversation with Bay Area health officials on Friday, November 20, about the latest surge in COVID-19 cases, the revised health orders as well as the next steps doctors are advising we take to stay safe over the holidays.

This event, Senator Glazer’s 20th virtual town hall on COVID-19, is Friday, November 20, at 11 a.m. 

Two vaccines are nearly ready for initial distribution, but widespread distribution of the vaccines will not happen until the Spring. Local health experts will discuss the path ahead for people, businesses and school children. 

Senator Glazer’s guests will include:

Dr. Robert Wachter, professor & chair of the Department of Medicine at UC San Francisco.
Dr. Ori Tzvieli, deputy chief health officer for Contra Costa County
Dr. Nicholas Moss, chief health officer for Alameda County
  
The conversation will begin streaming at 11 a.m. on Senator Glazer’s website at www.sd07.senate.ca.gov.
