Glazer Expands District Office To Help Residents During Pandemic

ORINDA – Senator Steve Glazer, D-Contra Costa, announced today that he has added a district representative to his staff.

Alexia Lopez, a lifelong Contra Costa County resident, will work in Senator Glazer’s district offices in Antioch and Orinda. Lopez will graduate this spring from San Jose State University with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Legal Studies.

“Alexia will expand my office’s ability to help residents who are struggling through this pandemic with unemployment, business closures and rent relief,” said Senator Glazer. “She will also expand our outreach to residents on pending legislation affecting schools, affordable housing, drought and transportation. It is wonderful to see a local student accomplish so much in the classroom and community and now so appreciate her commitment to serving the people in my office.”

Lopez has served as a legal intern for the San Jose State University Record Clearance Project.

She has also interned for the Concord office of Women, Infants, and Children and for San Jose City Councilmember Lan Diep.

“Thank you to Senate President Pro Tem Toni Atkins for providing the additional resources to expand our community outreach during this pandemic,” Glazer added.
